Plan for peewee sailors:
Royal Caribbean's fleet offer fun programs for little
ones such as Aqua-Babies (ages 6 months to 18 months) and
Aqua-Tots (18 months to 36 months). Drop off programs
start at age 2 for most family-friendly cruise line.
Thrill your teens, too:
With offerings like teen social hours, wave pools and
Internet cafes, teens won't sulk. FlowRide, a surfing
simulator on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas and
Liberty of the Seas, is a hit.
Eat when you're hungry:
Prefer not to plan the day around a set dinner seating
time many go for plans like Norwegian's Freestyle Dining;
you'll eat when and where you want, and sit with whomever
you like. Princess offers a similar option, called
Anytime Dining. Cut more cost on your cruise:
Book early. best deals offered well in advance.
Book 6-12 months ahead to get the cabins you want at prices
you'll like. Go off-season. Rates in the
Caribbean are highest in winter and drop in summer and fall.
Cruising 101:
Bring some non-drowsy Dramamine or Bonine if you tend to
experience seasickness. Also try to book a cabin in
the middle of the ship. Cruises are often
all-inclusive expect for alcohol. |
